no loitering

No Loitering is a Documentary series that focuses on anti-homeless architecture and signs that can be found in several different cities and neighborhoods around Michigan, that make it hard for the homeless population to seek shelter in the area. These features can include security cameras, gates and locks, fenced in overpasses, and “paying customer only’ signs. This series is meant to draw attention to the issue of homelessness and the idea of public places being open to the public, as long as you have a home to go to at the end of the day.

While viewing this series, please keep in mind the question: is a public place actually public if it is not open to everyone?
